Hi

Great website! (Although I was plagued by java script error messages by my Netscape browser, don't know why and avoid anything technical these days). Brought back some interesting memories.
I sat the MRGC course which started in Sept 79 and finished by taking the DOT radar maintenance in February 81. Sadly I still have all the theory papers that I sat! I note from your list of former radio pupils that the MRGC and BTEC courses have been blended together. I also think that I am in the wrong year.

I can remember the following people on my MRGC course.

Malcolm Gardener from St Helena now living near Watford. Doug Jordan from East Ham - Joined the BBC as an engineer. Robert Brace.
The lovely Celia "Lee" Scott...ended up with a Polish bloke called Steve PWTOWSKI or something like it.... [Steve Wichtowski - Ed.] who was in the year above. Adrian Coates who had several attempts at the course. Jon Ainge - also had a couple of goes at the course before working for the British Antarctic Survey, the FCO and then the RAF. Now does something in IT.

Our main lecturers were Jeff Williams, [David] Witteridge and Mike Dawson.

I joined the FCO straight from MNC and stuck with them for 18+ years before taking early retirement and emigrating to New Zealand. Now I look after my 2 children, rent out holiday accommodation and go fishing a lot. Can't see me making it back for a reunion this year but will watch the site with interest.

Saw the website advertised in the FCO staff magazine "News and Views".

Best wishes
