Worked for BBC engineering for about 16 years after leaving college.
Spent three years out in Masirah Island off Oman with them.
Transferred to Crown Castle when BBC engineering division got privatised some five years ago.
Currently married with two kids living in Penrith, Cumbria, working for Crown Castle, fixing, installing and maintaining broadcast and telecom plant.
