I left in 1979 after the TEC Cert, and did not stay the additional year for the Radar course as I went directly to Polytechnic. So, if you are basing it on year of leaving for the group then yes I would officially be in the 1980 year. I remember when the Worcester was scrapped and a small group of us made a video of the event. I dont know what happened to it eventually but Derek Kay who ran the Av Dept would have probably archived it?? I found the details of the web thru Friends reunited web site when I registered. regards John French Marketing Manager Maxon Europe Ltd Tel: + 44 (0) 1442 267777 Mobile: + 44 (0) 7802 426279 www.maxon.co.uk >>> mnc.adminntlworld.com 10/24/01 05:20PM >>> ----- Original Message ----- From: "John French" To: Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 2:17 PM Subject: Merchant Navy College John, Thanks for writing in. I am in the process of adding your details to the website although some questions are raised. 1977-79 would put you in the 1979 MRGC group on the Radio page however the names you give are of the 1980 group so I've put you in there. I am interested to hear that videos were made of the Worcester and the college but I do not have any archived but am interested to obtain anything on film. I know that a film was made of the college (for marketing purposes) not long before it closed. If you know where any film of the college may be obtained I would be interested in pursuing that. One last question, how did you find out about the site, i.e. what or who prompted you to make contact? Best Wishes Paul Bird www.greenhithe.org.uk
