Simon Rogers

(MNC 1986-88) - Life story since MNC:

I left the Met police in 1990 and joined Mercury Personal Communications (now known as T-Mobile).

I worked in various engineering roles for around 5 years and then went abroad contracting and supporting foreign mobile networks. I returned back to the UK after 2 years and moved down to Kent (Where they filmed the Darling Buds of May, if you remember that show).

I returned back to T-Mobile and have progressed within the organisation ever since. I am now an Incident Manager and have a team of people under me looking after T-Mobiles network 24/7.

I have been more than happily married for 18 years now and have two great lads of 14 and 16. The eldest is now starting College.

I took 3 months out of work and went on a sabbatical to the States to learn to fly helicopters and light aircraft. I am now the holder of a both private licenses and am working towards building my hours up to go commercial.

Its great to read about the old team from the MNC, I agree with Lorraine in the fact that I have lots of very fond memories from that place and people, all of which will never fade. I would always love to hear from people of old so please feel free to contact me.
