Member notes for Daniel Millan

Re-married with two kids from my first marriage, one boy aged 13 and a girl aged 14, was living in Australia for the last 14 years.

I left the regular army in 88 and the TA in 1992. I went to the Merchant Navy College in Greenhithe Kent, (now closed) and got an HNC in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Went to Australia and worked on the ships in Fremantle Port and then changed career to the casino industry as a dealer for 6 years. I have also been a stretch limmo' driver and had my own business working from home fixing computers (upgrades, virus removal, installations and training).

Went to TAFE and University and have graduated from a BSC in Environmental Management in 2002. I was involved in voluntary work for my local shire in urban bushland management and ran my own friends group of botanists, conservationists and local community members. I was also a member of the Perth Urban Bushland Council and a member of the Conservation Advisory Committee for the City of Joondalup. I was a Cadet Leader for my school Emergency Service Cadets, teaching navigation and radio skills.

I graduated from a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2004 and am a secondary school science teacher , my minor teaching area is computing and IT and was teaching at Clarkson Community High School close to the Ocean, north of Perth, before leaving to teach in the UK.

I was a supply teaching in the Manchester/Cheshire, but once again decided on a career change and training as a Home Inspector for the new Home Information Packs (HIP's) I have done all my trainig and just waiting for accreditation before being in business for myself working from home.
